One of the biggest and burliest freelance cargo haulers ever to ply the interplanetary shipping lanes, the CCV Strong Boy always brings smiles to the faces of air traffic control crews and dock workers whenever they see her name, in any port.
Her captain and owner, a big, burly single mother of 11 children christened the ship as such in honor of her disabled eldest son.
A painting that lasted over 3 weeks in between my freelance and part-time work, to keep myself in shape after looking at many, many inspiring works here on dA. Still trying to get over my fear of doing details. I didn't know where I was going with this, and I'm not sure if I fully like the outcome, but I was at a lost and didn't want to prolong this painting any longer. Any tips in bettering my techniques are much appreciated.
Very much inspired by the color and lighting from the opening of the movie Bladerunner for this piece.
*Thank you for the DD!
Thank you everyone for perusing! It's quite an honour!
