Ah, sorry about the lack of science fiction paintings of late, I'm in the spot for characters and comics.
Here's Dunn Hensley the medic in some action poses, for my comic Squad which I'm working on. The characters are getting more and more refined and the story's going along pretty well. I got a little stuck writing it lately, so I thought I'd draw the characters in the meantime.
I'm concerned about Dunn due to the bulkiness of his design and also that his uniform is a little unusual, so I practiced drawing him in some action poses to stubbornly iron out issues, because I don't intend to take the easy way out by changing my intended design. After many tries, I find him quite fun and easy to draw. I think that if I alter the design for convenience' sake, I'd dilute the essence of the world I am planning for in the comic.
I chose the symbol 'Y' to represent medicine in the world of Squad as compared to the red cross or the crescent moon.
The guy looks incredible! Really lively and fluent, you can see him as "all terrain doctor" and his design is overall great! The Y symbol and meaning is an interesting detail and with the blood stains and the sleeping scenes you can see a real war doctor that is both tough but soft The design of the uniform looks practical for a war doc, although as a suggestion I'd say you change some pockets for hard pockets to carry syringes and delicate equipment for fast access and use; maybe you could design a special gun-like syringe to which he charges medicines as ammo to use in critical situations
But with this designs you should be locked in a room until you finish that comic of yours Wish you awesome success with it; also sometimes is good to try and force the writing out
Hey those are excellent ideas. I think they'll work nicely. May I have your permission to incorporate them? Yeah his weapon actually is some sort of medical applicator combined with a submachine gun, but I think the design needs a little bit more work to make it look more 'surgeon'-like.
Thanks, Foto! I'm happy that you can read all the details in the character. It makes the effort really worthwhile.

Maybe it can be a surgery omnitool that Doc modified to double as a kind of gun.
Your efforts are always worth it Joul of you do it with heart and passion
